Help & Getting Started

The short version of everything. Something missing? Use the in-app Feedback button or the contact page.

Getting started

How is Venril organized?

Workspace → Project → Task → Subtask. A workspace holds your team and projects; every task belongs to exactly one project. Tasks can be a feature, bug, chore, or spike, with a priority from low to urgent.

Where do I create things?

Use the +New button in the top bar (or press C for a new task). The command palette (Cmd/Ctrl+K) jumps anywhere and creates anything.

How do I invite my team?

Members → Invite. Invitees get an email; they join your workspace and can be assigned work immediately. Roles are owner and member.

Planning and tracking

Board vs. backlog?

The board is your kanban view of current work by status. The backlog is a list grouped for triage — filter, multi-select with shift-click, bulk move to sprints, and let AI prioritize it.

How do sprints work?

Create a sprint on the Sprints page, drag or bulk-move tasks in, then start it. Velocity and burndown charts build automatically as you complete work. Pro plans get AI sprint planning suggestions.

What's in Reports?

Overview, velocity, workload, project health, and flow analytics (cycle time, throughput, cumulative flow, forecasts). Pro feature — every tab exports CSV, and you can create expiring read-only share links for stakeholders.

Integrations and AI

Slack

Connect in Settings to use slash commands and get updates in your channels.

What can Venril AI do?

Suggest task details from a title, summarize comment threads, prioritize your backlog, plan sprints, and generate weekly digests. AI features are part of the Pro plan.

Account and billing

How do plans work?

Plans are per-user. Free covers core task management; Pro adds AI features, analytics, and higher limits. See the pricing page for details.

Email notifications

Settings → Email notifications lets you choose which events email you. In-app inbox notifications are always on.

Deleting your account

Settings → Danger zone. Workspaces where you're the only member are removed; anything you contributed to shared workspaces stays with the team.
