MCP project management

A project management toolready for connected agents

As AI agents become part of the workflow, project management needs clear boundaries. Venril's agent layer uses an explicit workspace allowlist, an audit trail, plan gates, and safe tool access you can manage without reconnecting the assistant.

For technical teams exploring connected agents and MCP without giving automation unlimited access to project data.

What breaks down

Agents need project context but broad access is risky

Tool actions are hard to audit outside the PM system

Teams need a safe bridge between planning and automation

Keep activity visible in the Agents feed

How it works

A connected workflow instead of another planning silo

Workspace context stays connected

Tasks, subtasks, sprints, comments, PR links, reports, and roadmap signals live in one workspace instead of scattered across tools.

AI helps inside the planning flow

Vai and Venril AI can help draft tasks, prioritize backlog work, summarize noisy threads, and surface sprint risk without leaving the product.

Built for small teams first

The workflow is opinionated on purpose: Workspace, Project, Task, Subtask. Less admin ceremony, more delivery signal.

Agent access with boundaries

A practical comparison for teams choosing how they want to plan, ship, and review product work.

Price context

Agent-ready project management should not require the highest plan by default

When teams compare project management tools for AI-assisted work, the important question is not only the base subscription price. It is whether the project system can safely give agents the context they need without forcing a separate, expensive tier just to connect the workflow.

Free

$0

Use core project workflows, Ask Vai, and guided playbooks while the team is still proving the workflow.

Pro

$7/user/month

Adds unlimited projects and workspace members, more AI capacity, advanced Reports, integrations, and MCP-connected agent access for trusted external assistants.

Max

$17/user/month

Adds higher AI limits plus Venril's autonomous Vai agent features: workspace actions, scheduled agents, event triggers, and batch approvals.

FAQ

Questions teams ask before switching

Short answers for buyers comparing workflow fit, AI behavior, and how much process Venril adds.

What is MCP in project management?

MCP lets approved tools expose structured capabilities to agents. In Venril, that means agents can inspect or act on workspace data through validated, scoped tools.

Can every plan use MCP?

Connected agent capabilities are available on Pro and Max. Free users can still use Ask Vai and guided playbooks.

How do I give an existing agent access to another workspace?

Open Settings, choose Integrations, and use Manage access on the connection. The agent sees the change on its next request; you do not need to create another connector or repeat OAuth.

Does MCP mean agents can delete tasks?

No. Tool access is allowlisted and destructive actions are intentionally excluded from the first Vai agent phase.
