Tie one or more projects to an initiative to track a strategic effort as one thing, without changing how those projects run day to day. Projects can be untied or reassigned any time — nothing about the underlying work is affected.
Progress, blocked-project counts, and overdue counts roll up automatically from each project's tasks. Health (on track, needs attention, at risk) is computed the same way, so it stays current without anyone updating a slide.
Roadmap can group by initiative instead of by project, showing every tied project as its own swimlane against a shared timeline and target date — the sequencing view leadership needs.
Connected-agent value
Teams comparing AI-assisted project management often look at two separate costs: the project system and the agent or assistant that needs project context. Venril keeps the MCP bridge in Pro, then reserves Max for teams that want Venril's own autonomous Vai workflows.
Pro includes OAuth-based MCP access for trusted external agents such as Claude or ChatGPT. For $7 per user/month, teams can give those agents scoped project context without moving to the highest tier.
Max adds the in-house Vai agent, scheduled runs, event triggers, batch approvals, and deeper agent activity history. That keeps Pro focused on connected-agent access and Max focused on higher-volume automation.
Connected agents use Venril's workspace-scoped tools and audit trail instead of broad, untracked access. Teams can experiment with agent-assisted project work while keeping the project system as the source of truth.
Is the free plan really free forever?
Yes. No credit card required, no expiration. Free is a real plan - not a trial. You only pay when you need more projects or collaborators.
How does pricing work?
Pricing is per user. Pro is $7/month and Max is $17/month for each person who needs those features. Free users can still join paid users' workspaces and collaborate, but everyone keeps the capabilities of their own plan.
Can free users join a Pro workspace?
Yes. A free user can be invited to a Pro workspace and collaborate on tasks, comments, sprints, and enabled automation rules. Everyone keeps the capabilities and AI allowance of their own plan; upgrade when you need more AI capacity, connected agents, or other Pro features.
What happens if I hit the limits?
You'll see a prompt to upgrade. Your data is never deleted - it stays there waiting if you upgrade later.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime. If you downgrade, you keep access until the end of your billing period.
What does Venril AI do exactly?
Venril AI handles embedded workflows such as sprint planning, backlog prioritization, task autofill, and comment summaries. Every plan includes monthly credits for these workflows, Ask Vai, and guided playbooks. Pro increases the allowance and connects trusted external agents through OAuth-based MCP; Max adds Vai workspace actions, schedules, and event triggers.
What can the Max Vai agent do?
Vai can create and update tasks, subtasks, comments, and sprints, and link pull requests inside the selected workspace. Safe single changes can run immediately, batch task changes require approval, and every tool call appears in agent activity. Destructive actions such as deleting tasks are not available to Vai.
